While our dealer's-licence application is under process, this site operates in demonstration mode: amounts are shown in ❤️ hearts, bids and purchases are simulated for evaluation, no real sale takes place and no payment is collected. These terms describe how sales will operate once the site is live.
Bidding requires a verified buyer registration (KYC) — we record the name, address, identity document and contact details of every buyer, as required for our registers under the Antiquities & Art Treasures Act 1972 and Rules 1973. A bidding limit approved by the auction house applies to every bid and purchase. We may decline, suspend or revoke registration at our discretion.
Bids are maximum (proxy) bids: the system bids on your behalf up to your maximum, one increment above the next-highest bidder. A bid placed in the final two minutes extends the lot's closing time by two minutes (anti-sniping). All bids are recorded in a timestamped, append-only ledger and are binding — a winning bid is a contract to purchase.
A buyer's premium (announced per auction, typically 10%) is added to the hammer price. Payment of the invoice total is due within 7 days of the sale. Unpaid lots may be cancelled and re-offered, and the buyer's registration suspended.
Lots are antique goods sold with all faults and imperfections. Descriptions and photographs are provided in good faith as a guide; please satisfy yourself before bidding and ask us for additional detail or images. A lot may be returned only if it is proved to be a deliberate forgery or materially misdescribed, notified to us within 7 days of receipt.
Items notified as antiquities under the Antiquities & Art Treasures Act 1972 are sold within India only and cannot be exported. The consignor's details for every antiquity lot are held in our acquisition register; buyer identity is held in our sale register, as the Act requires. Registered antiquities must be re-registered by the new owner where applicable.
Consignors warrant that they lawfully own the goods they consign. A seller's commission (announced at consignment, typically 15%) is deducted from the hammer price; payout is made after the buyer's payment clears.
KYC and consignor details are used only for our statutory registers, invoicing and payout, and are shared only with the authorities where the law requires (e.g. the Archaeological Survey of India). We do not sell or share your data otherwise.
The auctioneer's decision on disputes during a sale is final. These terms are governed by Indian law; courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms; the version shown at the time of your bid applies.
